Fall Portraits

Fall is here! You can smell it in the air and the leaves are starting to change up here in the Williamsburg and James City County area. I don't know about you but fall is my favorite time of year. Aside from everything pumpkin, I love the changing of the leaves and the cooler temperatures Since I have moved up to Williamsburg and transplanted my photography business to the peninsula, I have so enjoyed the leaf changing just a bit earlier.

Fall foliage makes for amazing backdrops for portraits. In the past I have photographed high school seniors in sweaters and boots with gorgeous fall color to lay as a canvas for their portrait sessions. Family portraits in and around the James City county area are beautiful when taken in the fall. The Colonial Williamsburg area gives some great color also. I am anxiously waiting to see what the tree in front of the courthouse gives off this year.

Fall portraits are also a great way to plan for your Christmas card photo. Even if the bright foliage isn't your style, late fall bare trees are great for an earthen rustic look. Evergreens are more visible and they stand out for a great festive holiday backdrop for senior, family and other portraits.

Book a fall portrait session and take advantage of the many colors, textures and backdrops that it brings. I will be in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and will be available for booking on Black Friday also. If you are visiting the Colonial Williamsburg area and would like to book a portrait session please contact me, I would love to work with you!
