Colonial Williamsburg Family Portraits

It has been so exciting to live in the Williamsburg area as a portrait photographer. When we decided to make the move from Virginia Beach, I knew that I would have some amazing venues for my portrait sessions. There is no shortage of interesting textures, backgrounds and color to use as backdrops for family and senior portraits here. The use of the beautiful historic architecture always makes for a great traditional backdrop also. When I am in the colonial area of Williamsburg doing some recreational photos, I like to scout out new areas that I have not tried for my family photography sessions. My featured family was on vacation visiting Williamsburg from out of town to spend a holiday weekend and wanted to get a rare family portrait with the capitol building behind. You know how it can be, you can only get that family portrait organized once in a blue moon. I have taken several family reunion photos, and it is exciting to be able to capture what might end up being an heirloom photo.

Lisa Martin Lee captures family portraits, senior photos and headshots using the colonial area in Williamsburg to give interest, texture and architecture as an addition to your session. She is also available for the greater Hampton Roads area, and outside Williamsburg in Yorktown and Richmond.
